RGS has undertaken sediment sampling and analysis for a range of dredging projects proposed for waterways throughout the NSW mid-north coast and north coast areas, using a range of techniques including barge mounted vibro-coring, piston sampling, and bailer sampling using hand held equipment.  Management plans were developed for the treatment and disposal of acid sulfate soils and the sediments were also assessed for a broad suite of common contaminants prior to development of options for disposal.
